Francis Xavier’s best friend in college was Saint Ignatius of Loyola. The two men, along with several others, formed the Society of Jesus: also known as the Jesuits. He was a cheerful, determined missionary who spread the Gospel amidst persecution in regions of India, Japan, and Indonesia.
