Saint Moses the Black

A former thief and gang leader, Moses converted to Christianity after encountering the peaceful fortitude of a monk during a monastery raid. Known for his humility and nonviolence, he overcame a troubled past and died a martyrs death protecting  his brothers from the gang of criminals he had once led.
