Saint Lawrence

A deacon in the early church, Lawrence was asked to gather the Church’s treasures for confiscation by the authorities. Instead, Lawrence cleverly brought forward the poor; the true treasures of the Church. In spite of being killed with fire for this, he kept his humor and peace till the end.
