Saint Dominic

Dominic, who lived around the year 1200, was a Spanish priest with a deep understanding of the arts and theology. While traveling, Dominic encountered a group of French heretics, and realized that evangelizing them required a new strategy. He established the Order of Preachers, often called Dominicans, who focus on contemplation (pondering the mysteries of our redemption) and sharing the fruits of their prayer through preaching.
