Saint Brendan

Sometimes called Brendan the Navigator, this Irish priest and monk sailed around Europe spreading the Christian Faith. His legendary Voyage recounts how he sailed west in search of the isle of Paradise. At one point he and his companions stopped on a small island only to discover that the “island” was actually a huge whale!
